- Tomahawk: Tomahawk Indiangrass is a climatic adapted grass for the North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota regions. This grass grows well in relatively wet soil yet tolerates drought conditions. Tomahawk is winter hardy and offers high seed production.
- Cheyenne: Cheyenne Indiangrass is adapted for the south central and eastern states in the U.S. This grass is a major grass in tall grass prairies that is susceptible to overgrazing damage.
